The individual should have significant experience in gathering and translating consumer and business insights into actionable implications and strategies. We are seeking a professional who is ahead of the curve, innovative, pro-active and provocative, yet diplomatic- an expert at managing relationships.

The individual should have significant experience in gathering and translating consumer and business insights into actionable implications and strategies. We are seeking a professional who is ahead of the curve, innovative, pro-active and provocative, yet diplomatic- an expert at managing relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- The individual will be accountable for defining, leading and drawing insights from data and research that will make a difference to our business based on compelling, non-obvious customer insights and based on a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape. This individual will have a very direct and immediate impact on the business.
- The key challenge of the incumbent is to identify and predict trends in the industry and generate new ideas which will provide business opportunities with a focus on increasing customer base and driving the top line. S/he will be also responsible for spotting new growth opportunities across media technologies.
- Another key task for the incumbent will be to build relationships across functions; requiring a high level of maturity and the ability to back ideas with factual data. Apart from internal partners, the incumbent will need to build relations with the external partners as well.
- Ensure key decisions that drive strategy, marketing plans, and the consumer experience are based on relevant insights and consumer data. Pragmatically this translates into keenly understanding the business and where it is headed, partnering with internal functions, working with internal and external data sources (including audience measurement such as TAM, BARC, IRS etc.) conducting secondary research studies and understanding/interpreting various primary research studies each week
- Bring the voice of the consumer as well as the underlying needs into the broader organization by strong participation in a variety of meetings, and stimulate an already strong culture that is anchored in deep consumer understanding
- Extensive exposure to data analytics, especially advanced analytics such as predictive modeling and optimization is desirable. Area of exposure in consumer-facing Industries: Media, Consumer Finance, Retail and CPG would be a plus.
- Strong understanding of Digital ecosystem (web, email, mobile and social) will be critical. Knowledge of technology landscape, platforms and products as well as vendor ecosystem in this space shall be highly preferred.

Key Competencies:
- A Master's degree in Management or Bachelors in Business/Marketing/Statistics/Mathematics or related field from a reputed institution
- Minimum 10-13 years of experience
- Strategy consulting experience will be a plus
Key Competencies:
- Ability to engage in discussion with senior stakeholders on defining business problems, designing analyses projects and articulating analytical insights to business managers
- Experience with secondary data and knowledge of primary market research is a plus
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent stake-holder management skills needed
- Project Management skills and managing a portfolio of assignments
- Ability to influence without authority needed
- High degree of comfort in working with ambiguity
- Excellent analytical skills and a strong sense for structure and logic
- Ability to develop, test and validate hypotheses
- Competent at analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data.

- Ability to communicate effectively and to work with people at all levels within and outside the Company
