Designation	Linux OS Compute Manager
Job Description	Responsible for supervision/management of a global team responsible for Linux OS provisioning, builds, and integrates applications and platforms to support Intel's business needs. An ideal candidate would be someone with extensive experience in large scale infrastructure across multiple geographies with significant knowledge of industry trends. The candidate should be able to lead a team responsible for the solution development for Intel IT's global computing environment and troubleshooting of complex issues related to various Linux Operating systems in the computing environment including interoperability issues with file servers and other infrastructure services. He/She will be responsible for Day-to-day functional management of the organization, to include performance management, training/developing, forecasting/reporting, and budgeting/expense control. Set future direction and plans. Ensures operation meets basic user, headcount, and quality guidelines. Represent operation. Provide training program. Provide day-to-day operational reporting/tracking indicators. Requires advanced knowledge of a highly technical or professional field. Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts.
Desired Profile	Candidate must have experaince in Linux OS, Designs, builds. We are looking for this person with extensive experience in core areas of Linux Operating System Solutions, Systems Administration and Kernel Debugging. An ideal candidate would be someone with extensive experience in large scale infrastructure across multiple geographies with significant knowledge of industry trends. The ideal candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field and have skills in the following technical areas: - Linux and/or Windows System Administration Experience as well as familiarity with networking concepts is a must. - At least 10 years exposure to Unix OS image build repositories and provisioning tools
