As a Senior QA (Quality Assurance) Engineer of the Technology & Product Engineering Group at TAS, the person is responsible for the WES team’s web applications’ test cases preparation; Manual tests Execution, Automation as applicable and Bugs reporting. S/he will work closely with Offshore/Onsite team to quickly learn and provide day-to-day testing, Issue reporting, Smoke/Sanity/Regression testing to support the development team for all standalone and custom magazine web applications.

This person will work on a team of developers implementing web software. This person should have a reasonable knowledge of testing a Java/Mainframe based applications. The project will be fast paced and technically rewarding. The person will collaborate with other groups including business clients, front-end developers, template developers and infrastructure/system developers. The individual must have strong analytic capability and the ability to create innovative solutions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Developing Test plans and Test cases

Performing testing on Web based applications

Preparing test summary reports

Developing and executing test scripts using automation tools

Position Requirements:

Manual Testing

Smoke Testing, Sanity Testing, Black box and White box testing

Extensive working knowledge of QTP/UFT

Bug reporting tools (Bugzilla, JIRA etc. )

Basic understanding of Java Script, HTML and CSS

Good oral & written communication skills

Ability to quickly learn and work independently

4-6Years of testing experience in Manual Testing/Automation

Experience in Manual to Automation migration

Qualifications:

Bachelors of Engineering/ B.Tech or MCA

Professional Certifications (Preferable but not mandatory)
