How a Technical Recruiter works.

As a Technical Recruiter, you will be responsible for developing and executing on a talent attraction strategy that will engage the best Engineering, Product Management and UI/UX in the world! The Technical Recruiter is responsible for full lifecycle talent acquisition efforts, including: candidate identification and development, candidate and hiring manager relationship management, candidate experience, screening/interviewing, selection, offer presentation & negotiation, and new hire pre-boarding/on-boarding.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify, source and engage candidates through creative and innovative sourcing approaches
  • Review, pre-screen and interview candidates to determine appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the full recruiting cycle (i.e. communicate status, answer questions and coordinate all follow-up efforts)
  • Ensure consistent communication regarding recruiting efforts by providing status updates to all stakeholders through meetings, email updates and reports
  • Monitor the effectiveness of all recruiting efforts, with specific attention paid to continued flow of candidates through the recruiting pipeline.
  • Act as an informal mentor for less experienced recruiters within the team
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4+ years experience recruiting or sourcing at a rapid-growth technology company
  • Have a passion for the recruiting profession, as evidenced by the fact that others would describe you as being within the 'top 10%' of recruiters in the industry
  • Show passion about sharing recruiting and industry experience with others by exerting influence within Indeed's own Talent Acquisition team, Indeed's Product team, and across the Recruiting industry
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully managing the full recruiting lifecycle, which includes the ability to develop a pipeline of candidates
  • Deep understanding of software development/engineering hiring requirements
  • Expert knowledge of the technical/engineering labor/candidate market, as well as industry specific knowledge that will facilitate effective direct sourcing efforts
  • Must have a clear understanding of the recruiting process and the importance of the candidate and hiring manager experience
  • Strong analytical, reporting and presentation skills
  • Experience working with an applicant tracking system with a level of detail orientation that maintains strong data integrity and allows for great reporting from the ATS
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication
  • Exceptional organization skills with high attention to detail
