BI Analyst - TCE & Q – EG GSC & Q SO

As a part of EG TCE & Quality organization, he/she will be responsible for the collection and analysis of customer case data and QCA process data on a daily basis . Person will also be responsible for reporting conclusions to program stakeholders through multiple mediums and raise immediate awareness to any potential Quality issues. Individual will be assigned to the Data and Process Analyst role within the Quality Case Analysis (QCA) team.

Individual will be working closely with the Reporting and Analytics teams to design and implement systems, tools and processes to enable the capture of case and process information. This person will also be expected to work closely with R&D, Knowledge Management, Technical Services and the QCA Team to gain insights into the Process and support process improvement project teams.

Individual will also lead improvement projects directly related to the QCA Team , which will support improve QCA process to provide actionable information for all Enterprise Group product cases relating to Servers, Storage, Networking and support all BU and functional teams to deliver on quality goals (AOER - Annual Outage Event Rate , Average Outage Duration - AOD, Annual Intervention Rate - AIR, Out of Box Failures - OBF, Availability).

Qualifications / Education and Experience

Required:

• Bachelors’ Degree in Maths or Statistics or Engineering or Science & preferable any additional qualification and / or related field certification in Statistical Analysis / BI / PMI / Consulting
• Minimum 6 to 9 years working in similar roles of collecting data & analyzing to give business insights to senior leaders . Preferably in Shared Operations or Manufacturing environment of working with Supply Chain, Quality / QA , R&D , Engineering , Sales , Execution / ODM / OEM , IT , Channel Partners , Suppliers & other business stakeholders.
• Preference is , the person to have very good exposure on end to end organization model / stake holders / processes / IT / inter connectivity
• Better if very good exposure to all Quality / QA processes, methodologies, FMEA & statistical tools .

Preferred:

• Good exposure to Tools / Technology / Automation efforts
• Will be very good if he / she had earlier similar experience in EG BU even in other field like Sales or any other BU of HP or having similar experience from competitor companies of same nature .
• Project management certification such as PMP/PMI certification will be added advantage
• Lean Six Sigma and / or other Quality certification

Responsibilities:

• Utilize SelfServ and other database bases to create ad hoc queries, reports and analytical tools.
• Develop Text Mining Taxonomies to help with the analysis of the data and enablement of efficiencies
• Analyze Open Case data set for early warnings : Product Issues, Customer Sentiment (Using Text Analysis)
• Analyze OBF/OBE data sets for insights for process and product improvements
• Monitor and improve CR1 performance of attributes selected during the case categorization
• Analyze reclassifications by CR2+ and look for trends driving process deviations across all business units and functions
• Mine CR2+ for Quality issues that may have escaped through the various teams
• Work closely with various Functional teams to support projects and gain insights into the various QCA processes
• Lead process and quality improvement projects as a result of conclusions drawn from the data analysis work

Skills:

• Strong Knowledge in Text Analytics tools
• Strong knowledge of Exel, Power Pivot, Silverlight. Ideal if individual also knows Tableu, SSRS
• Ability to discern trends, pattern, special causes as a result of data analysis
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge preferred (Green belt or black belt certified ideal)
• Strong programming skills in SQL required. Ideal if individual also knows C, C++, Java languages
