Job Description & Responsibilities - DGM Transitions

The DGM (TRANSITIONS) is accountable for delivering F&A transition projects from contract signing through to delivery and steady state operation. He/She  leads a team of Transition Managers and will lead this team through all the transition phases including transition start-up (initialisation/planning) transition manage and transition exit.
 This position requires strong project management skills as well as an F&A Knowledge base and experience. In addition to Influencing and negotiation skills, DGM (TRANSITIONS) needs to be able to demonstrate creativity, vision and mature judgement in anticipating and resolving complex risks and issues.
  
Primary activities include:

*  Setting up the project management infrastructure,
*  Integrated project planning across work streams as well as developing transition plans for the various individual countries,
*  Developing and tracking project cost structure and budget,
* Managing the cost effective delivery of the scope as defined in the transition's project schedule and budget
* Development and then tracking and reporting of project deliverables,
* Application of project management processes, methodologies and tools
*  Facilitating effective communication and working relationships within the transition team,  account team, Client team, and 3rd party suppliers/interfaces where required
* Maintaining business controls for the transition
* Scheduling and delivering status reports for, internal risk management procedures, change management procedures, issue management procedures, problem management procedures and quality management procedures

Job Requirements ( Skills ):
* Communication skills; ability to present information in a clear concise manner to all  Organisational levels
*  Presentation skills - ability to develop and deliver professional formal presentations to client organisations
* Demonstrable leadership skills to lead and manage globally and culturally diverse teams across different geographies. 
*  Strong Interpersonal Skills to build and maintain productive lasting relationships both internally and with the client teams,
*  Drive and initiative - able to work both independently and as part of a team,
*  Flexibility - Ability to work effectively and adapt quickly in a dynamic and ambiguous work environment  - global and  matrixed  organisations
*  Good business acumen with ability to synthesise creative solutions and consulting capability
*  Proficient with Project and Process Management tools like MS Project and MS Visio
*  Previous Transition Experience in Finance and Accounting arena
Job Requirements (Experiences)
*  Demonstrable experience of managing business transition, having managed and/or transitioned at least 5-10 medium to large Finance & Administration operation projects on time and within budget
*  Equivalent with ~14+ years of working experience, at least 7-8 years experience in similar size multi-national companies as a Transition Manager, in Individual contributor or people manager role
*  Extensive experience of developing competitive transition solutions and positioning them with potential clients/stake holders through pre-sales, business development support activities
* Exposure to Due diligence and project planning activities
* Excellent Communication Skills - Written and Verbal
* Expertise in Consulting or Shared Service or Programme Management
* Strong thinking and problem solving skills, Customer-oriented and Displays strong ownership
* Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
*  Project Management
*  Transformation projects/ Process Re-engineering/ ERP Implementation  would be an added advantage



Qualifications (Education/Major/Certificates)


*  Bachelors Degree (Engineering, Business Management, Finance, or Accounting). MBA from a premier institute would be desirable
*  PMP/Prince 2 Qualification Desirable

Other Information

*  Travel will be required for this role. Flexibility to work across time zones/shifts to support business requirements is essential.
Required  Expertis e:

  • 13+Years of experience in F&A domain with at least 5 years of experience in transitions in a third party environment
Preferred  Expertise:
  • Understanding of F&A transitions across towers in a third party environment
