Job Description

 

JD: Role Responsibilities:

• Plan hardware and software system upgrades and changes in configuration
• Assist in supporting CICS/TS v5 (usin CPSM) running on a new z/13 processor
• Assist and support CICS (3.1,3.2,4.1,4.2,5.1,5.2) etc
• Automate operations related to CICS
• Supervise and perform Capacity Planning
• Run installation jobs and scripts
• Perform installation-specific customization tasks
• Perform Integration-testing of the new products with existing applications and user procedures
• System-wide performance tuning to meet required levels of service
• Maintain reliability, availability of CICS systems software
• Perform trouble shooting and provide 24/7 on-call support to the clients supported
Required Skills and Expertise
• Bachelors Degree and Relevant Experience of 2+ years
• Sound working knowledge about the CICS functionality and architecture
• Experience in maintaining CICS table entries (RDO) CICS region related Dataset & Startup etc.
• Applied kKnowledge of usage of CICS transactions like CEMT, CEDA etc.
• Proven capability of upgrading/installing and migrating CICS Transaction servers
• Capable of supporting z/OS systems changes related to CICS
• Applied experience Upgrading /Installing and supporting IBM & ISV related Products
• Expert level knowledge & prior proven experience of working on Disaster Recovery Test
• Excellent communication and impressive interpersonal skills.
