Sr. Lab Administrator

                                     
Summary:
We're looking for an experienced lab administrator with prior work experience on lab infrastructures and good hands on with Linux, Solaris and server administration. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• To address day to day LAB network, server, application, and hardware issues.
• LAB technical ticket resolutions
• Setting up LAB Infra for Development, Testing projects
• Documentation and ISO process adherence and assisting during audits
• Experience in handling SUN Enterprise and Netra complaint servers and chassis based products.
• Handling all the issues related to Sun Hardware and OS
• Working on rsh, SSH, rlogin, NIS, NFS, autofs , LDAP
• Working on Layer2/3 switches, static routes and VLAN
• Cohesively work with LAB support team for effective support operations

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Work experience in handling complex issues in Solaris , Linux and Storage 
• Work experience in troubleshooting of large complex LAB networks involving Extreme/Cisco/HP Switches
• Good hands-on for setting up/problem fixing of NIS, NFS, Scripting, Nagios, Wireshark tools
• Good communication and documentation skills

Key Skills – Mandatory:

• Solaris, Linux – Redhat.
• Extreme/Cisco/HP L2/L3 Switches
• Dell and Sun Chassis/Blade Servers

Key Skills – Desirable:

• Prior work experience in similar LAB infra on telecom R&D
• Sound Knowledge of Linux, Solaris and Network.
• Good understanding of Power, Cooling and UPS requirements and sizing for LAB
• Work experience on Helpdesk tools and ISO process exposure

Education/Experience:

Education: - Diploma/Bachelors Preferred (E&C, CS, IT/IS)
Experience: - 5 – 8 years
